PREVENTION of SPASMODIC DYSPHONIA
The exact etiology of spasmodic dysphonia is unknown, so there is no specific measures for prevention.

However, in some cases, onset has been reported to occur  subsequent to upper respiratory infections and/or vocal abuse.

Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that maintaining good vocal hygiene, including adequate hydration, and avoiding continued vocal stress, especially when the vocal mechanism is in a weakened state are reasonable precautions until more is known.
